Series of three booklets demonstrating each grid system: Manuscript, Columnar, and Deconstructed. Collectively they function as field guides to a diverse range of topics providing introductory information in the first book, distinguishing characteristics in the second, then alternative subtext in the third booklet.

 

Polish Culture, explores the significance of traditional polish costumes for Poland. The booklets explore different regional costumes, specifically the female costumes, and later focuses on how theses colorful clothing kept the nation’s culture alive throughout the hardship. The booklets include patterns and ‘paper doll inspired illustrations, complemented with embroidery squares to highlight the method that most of these costumes were sewed. The use of highly decorative elements create a folklore and pattern inspired books.
